Automation Quality Assurance Analyst

SUMMARY:  
 
The Automation Quality Assurance Analyst works closely with the Business Analyst and Development teams to ensure the delivery of quality applications to business users. The QA develops and executes formal test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for new or modified software programs to verify that the programs functions according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines. We are looking for both junior and senior candidates to join this team. These positions work primarily within our homeowners insurance division. 
 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet the business needs.
 

  • Design and perform Quality Assurance (QA) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methodologies and documentation
  • Develop manual and automated test plans and test scripts, executing test cases for large and complex business processes
  • Using Javascript and Selenium WebDriver, develop automated tests to exercise the P&C applications we have developed for in-house use
  • Create and execute formal test plans as well as communicate in writing or in meetings with the development team
  • Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, creating reusable test data, test case automation, and test execution
  • Develop automation test scenarios and enhance automation test platform
  • Review and verify functional and system requirements and ensure project deliverables adhere to QA criteria and comply with the requirements prior to deployment
  • Write SQL Server queries
  • Conduct status meetings and manage UAT
  • Initiate, monitor, and follow-up for resolution of outstanding Bug/Issues
  • Manage any change requests related to the project plan to adhere to the prescribed timeline
  • Participate in quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures, and methodologies are being followed

                                                                          
 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
 

  • Javascript
  • SQL server query ability required
  • Proven experience in writing test plans
  • Strong understanding of Property and Casualty business functions highly desired
  • Basic understanding of HTML preferred
  • Experience with cross-browser platforms preferred
  • Familiarity with JSON is a plus
  • Experience with JIRA or other project tracking tools
  • Experience with Selenium or other automated testing highly desired
  • Strong interpersonal, mathematical, communication, and writing skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Timely follow up, investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of production support incidents

 
 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
                                                 

  • AA degree or equivalent education required in IT or closely-related field; BA or BS degree preferred
  • Junior roles require a minimum of 1 year of overall IT experience
  • Senior roles require 4-7 years of experience
